Beanhaus is a small artisan micro coffee roaster based right in the center of Paphos town in Cyprus. We roast small batches of coffee in a passionate quest to discover the perfect cup of coffee. We definitely know that it’s not possible, but this is an enjoyable journey of discovery and we’re always getting closer and closer…..Till the next delivery of green beans.
Beanhaus is a member of Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE). Charalampos Papaonisiforou is the official Coffee Roaster of the company, and maybe the only one in Cyprus that participated in Q graders diploma lessons awarded by Coffee quality Institute (CQI),so that the quality of green beans we import is checked and verified.
Choosing our partners, in terms of professional equipment for roasting, packaging and brewing, was a long and demanding procedure. We are therefor proud to announce that our partners in Cyprus and overseas in this business venture is Probat Roasting machines, Rancilio coffee machine.
Twenty five years ago, a cup of coffee was nothing more than a caffeine delivery vehicle. It didn't really matter how it tasted (and often, it was very bad); it just had to slap you awake in the morning or prop you up through a long afternoon
But in the last decade, things have changed. A lot. A few people scattered all over the world discovered how amazing a cup of coffee can be when you source the beans directly from farmers you know. When you roast the beans yourself in an aggressively light or medium way. When you brew the coffee with down-to-the-second precision.
Traveling and meeting such pioneers in Europe, and working as a Coffee Ambassador and store manager for Starbucks, this delicious shift in Coffee really made a sense to me and started what some people call specialty coffee revolution and quest for sourcing exceptional micro lots coffees and varieties.
Our goal then-and our goal now-was to taste and craft the very best cup of coffee available anywhere. Period. We've learned a lot over the years, but the care and attention we lavish on our process is unchanged, including tasting every coffee several times before it goes out to our customers, and into your cup.
